Rules and regulations for the provision of electronic services

1 General provisions

1.       These Rules and Regulations for the provision of electronic services (hereinafter: the Rules) are hereby established pursuant to Article 8(1)(1) of the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services.

2.       The Rules regulate the rights and obligations of persons using the website (hereinafter: the User), available at: /, whose owner is Alicja Szczepańska the owner of a sole proprietorship under the name Algo Alicja Szczepańska based in Poznań, Poland NIP: 7812024307, REGON: 389741835 (hereinafter: the Service Provider).

2 Services provided electronically

1. The Service Provider provides the following services electronically, via the website:

1) providing the necessary information about the Service Provider

2) enabling the User to learn about the Service Provider's offer concerning the courses and translation services provided by the Service Provider

3) enabling the User to make enquiries, via the communication channels available on the website, about the Service Provider's current offer

4) enabling the conclusion of a contract for the provision of a language course or translation at a distance

5) enabling free downloading of educational materials prepared by the Service Provider.

2. In order to use the website, the User must meet the following minimum technical requirements:

1) connection to the public Internet network

2) an installed Internet browser, enabling the display on the computer screen of hypertext documents (HTML) linked to the Internet via a web service, with installed and correctly functioning software for handling scripts and Java applets and saving cookies

3) an active e-mail account

4) no incognito mode enabled.

3. The Service Provider shall not be liable for any problems or technical limitations resulting from the User's system or software not being adapted to the technical requirements specified above.

4. The User shall refrain from any action that may hinder or destabilise the operation of the website or the use of its functionalities. The actions of the User referred to herein are considered to be unauthorised, in particular:

1) attempts to disrupt or block access to accounts of other Users or computers (DOS, DDOS, DNS spoofing attacks)

2) phishing, i.e. falsification of information allowing to identify the User, including IP information or hiding such information

3) pharming, i.e. the use of malware, interference with DNS servers or other means aimed at redirecting other Users to a website or other service imitating the Website in order to collect from Users personal data, data necessary for logging into the Website or other information

4) direct or indirect sending, collection, sale or distribution of e-mail addresses for the purpose of sending unsolicited e-mail correspondence (spam).

5. The user wishing to conclude a contract is obliged to provide up-to-date, accurate data.

6. The Service Provider shall not be liable for any temporary unavailability of the website due to any technical failures or introduction of new solutions and features on the website.

7. In special cases when the security or stability of the website is at risk, the Service Provider shall have the possibility to temporarily limit its functionality or to discontinue the service of access to the website without prior notice.

8. The Service Provider shall not be liable for any damage to the User resulting from using the website in a non-compliant manner or against the Rules.

4 Complaint procedure

1. The Website User may file a complaint regarding malfunctions of the website by submitting it to the following e-mail address: alicja@algo.co.pl.

2. In the complaint, the User of the Website should provide his/her name, surname, e-mail address and describe in detail the malfunctions of the Website.

3. The Service Provider shall process the complaint within 14 days from the date of its receipt and shall inform the User via the e-mail address provided by the User or the e-mail address through which the User submitted the complaint about the manner in which the complaint has been handled.

 

5 Protection of personal data

1. The Service Provider is the administrator of the Users' personal data, which are processed with utmost care for its security and integrity.

2. The rules of data processing are outlined in the GDPR statement, which is made accessible at /.

6 Final provisions

1. The Service Provider is entitled to amend the Rules and Regulations for important reasons, in particular in the following cases:

1) the performance of an obligation arising from a final court ruling or a decision of administrative authorities;

2) the amendment of the Rules and Regulations is necessary due to the change of generally applicable laws or due to the recognition of a provision of the Rules and Regulations as prohibited respectively

3) introduction of changes in the functioning of the website, including those related to technical or technological progress, including changes in IT systems related to the functioning of the Website, as well as in the event of expanding the scope of services provided through the Website

4) for security reasons, including those aimed at preventing the use of the Website in a manner not in compliance with the provisions of the law or these Rules and Regulations.

2. In matters not regulated herein, the provisions of the commonly applicable law shall apply, and with regard to the conclusion of a contract for the provision of services, also the class rules and regulations shall apply.

3. The Rules and Regulations are effective as of 15 July 2024.
