What languages can I study at ALGO?

How are classes organised?
There are a few common features to most of our courses, both one-to-one and group ones.
⋅ We share handouts in a dedicated folder in a cloud.
⋅ The cloud also includes a file containing a breakdown of all completed and scheduled hours, lesson topics, homework, as well as links and other essential notes.
⋅ We work together to create your personal/group vocabulary set in a special app so that you can study at any convenient time without having to flip through your paper notes.
⋅ Each class has a designed structure with a set of specific activities whose aim is to bring you closer to your goal.
How do you teach?
During each class we speak a lot and from the outset we communicate in the target language as much as possible. Keep calm – if you are starting to learn a language, we will also use English so that you’ll feel comfortable. We use resources adapted to your language level as well as authentic materials. This ensures a variety of activities during classes. We work intensively having a lot of fun in the meantime too.
What do I get in the price of my pack of classes?
Each class pack includes:
⋅ a set number of online classes
⋅ resources (for some classes e.g. examination courses it is required to purchase a textbook)
⋅ creation of an online vocabulary set for revisions
⋅ guidance between our classes - we check homework, respond to your questions, keep track of your progress in the vocab app
⋅ starter pack* - We can send you a starter pack with a few useful learning aids.
* This option depends on your location.
I would like to join a group course, but I don’t know my level. What should I do?
Email me and we'll meet for a quick call, after which we will be able to select the right group for you.
What does the first one-to-one class look like?
The first class serves us to get to know you and verify your level. We will cover a variety of topics so that the teacher can see how easy or difficult it is for you to express yourself and what scope of structures you use. The teacher will also pay special attention to your pronunciation. At the end, you will get feedback from us regarding your level as well as the strengths and weaker points of your language skills. We will also discuss your motivation, past language learning experiences and goals. We will also lay out an initial plan of work.
Can we meet more than once a week?
Of course. If we find convenient time slots, we can meet more often.
How long is one class?
Our classes last 60 or 90 mins. In the case of one-to-one classes, it is up to you which option you’ll choose. If you want to have custom-length classes, the price is calculated proportionally to the price of a standard one.
Do you teach children and teens?
At ALGO we have experts in teaching children. Therefore, you will also find here courses addressed to younger learners and teenagers.
Can you prepare me for a language exam?
Yes, we can help you prepare for the following exams: B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency (Cambridge certificates in general English) and Business Preliminary, Vantage, Higher (Business English Certificates) as well as DELE (Spanish language certificates, Instituto Cervantes). To enquire about other certificates or certificates in other languages, write to us.
Can I sign up for a group course in November or do I need to wait till January for registration?
Write to me and ask about the possibility of joining an existing group or forming a new one. There may be some people who, like you, are waiting for a similar group to form.
Do we sign a contract before the classes start?
Before you purchase a pack of classes, I send you class organisation rules, which constitute a contract.
Will I receive a certificate after completing a course?
Yes, it is possible to receive a certificate of participation in the course.
Do you teach face-to-face?
We give regular classes for individual clients exclusively online. However, we can organise on-site language workshops at your company's premises. This possibility depends on its location.
